1. What is The Map Challenge? It is an independent online map game. Choose a country, add points to it, and follow its position in the live global ranking.
2. How do points and the ranking work? Each confirmed payment adds points to the selected country. A higher support amount adds more points. Countries are ranked by their total points.
3. Is this a charity or a donation platform? No. The Map Challenge is an independent online project, not a charity. Payments support participation in the map challenge and help fund the operation and development of the project.
4. Where does the money go? Payments help cover payment processing, infrastructure, maintenance, new features, and the work required to run and improve The Map Challenge. The project may generate income for the person or team running it.
5. How can I participate? 1. Click a country on the map. 2. Choose an amount from $5. 3. Complete the payment. 4. Once confirmed, your country receives points and moves in the ranking.
6. How can I become a Captain? Every country has a Captain. The user with the highest confirmed single payment for that country becomes its Captain. You may use a display name or remain Anonymous.
7. How do crypto payments work? Crypto payments require manual verification. Send the exact currency to the wallet address shown, then submit the transaction ID. Points are added only after the payment has been verified.
8. What happens to my name and email? Your name may be shown publicly as a Captain if it qualifies. Your email is optional, is never displayed publicly, and is only used to communicate about your payment or message.

What you are supporting
The Map Challenge is an independent worldwide online map game. A confirmed payment adds points to the country you choose and affects its position in the public ranking.
Not a charity
This is not a charity or a fundraising campaign for a third party. Payments support participation in the game and help fund payment processing, infrastructure, maintenance, development, and ongoing operation. The project may generate income for its operator.
Captain status
Points have no cash value and are not transferable. The Captain of a country is the user with its highest confirmed single payment. Captain status may change when a higher confirmed payment is made. There are currently no active prizes, lotteries, raffles, or guaranteed rewards.
Payments and data
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Crypto payments require manual verification before points are added. Names and emails are optional; emails are never displayed publicly. The selected point on the map may be displayed publicly as a marker, but payment amounts, emails, transaction references, and approximate origin country are not public.
Refunds and questions
Payments are not automatically refundable. For a duplicate, unauthorised, or technically incorrect payment, contact us so the case can be reviewed individually. Crypto transactions cannot normally be reversed once sent.
